Warranty Policy

Company Name: ROCKBROS Sport GmbH
Website: rockbrossport.co.uk
Customer Service Email: service@rockbrossport.co.uk

ROCKBROS is committed to providing reliable cycling products and professional customer support.

This Warranty Policy applies to eligible products purchased directly from the official ROCKBROS UK website. Accessories and cycling equipment are generally covered by a two-year commercial warranty, while complete bicycles are covered according to the component-specific warranty periods set out below.

This commercial warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect any rights or remedies available to you under applicable UK consumer law.

1. General Warranty Period

Accessories and Cycling Equipment

Unless a different period is stated on the relevant product page, ROCKBROS accessories and cycling equipment are covered by a two-year warranty from the original date of purchase.

This includes products such as:

  • Bike bags and panniers
  • Bike lights and electronic accessories
  • Bike locks and security products
  • Phone mounts
  • Bike pumps and repair tools
  • Bicycle parts and accessories
  • Cycling clothing
  • Helmets and protective equipment
  • Sunglasses and other cycling equipment

Complete Bicycles

Complete bicycles are covered according to the warranty periods applicable to their individual frames, finishes and components, as explained in Section 3 of this policy.

All warranty periods begin on the original date of purchase.

2. Warranty Coverage for Accessories and Cycling Equipment

During the applicable warranty period, ROCKBROS will assess products that fail due to a manufacturing or material defect under normal and intended use.

Eligible problems may include:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Defective materials or components
  • Functional failure caused by a production defect
  • Premature product failure caused by a manufacturing or material defect

Depending on the assessment, ROCKBROS may provide troubleshooting assistance, repair, replacement parts, product replacement or another appropriate solution.

What Is Not Covered

The commercial warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Accidents, crashes, impact or external damage
  • Misuse or use outside the product’s intended purpose
  • Incorrect installation, assembly or operation
  • Improper cleaning, maintenance or storage
  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications that caused or contributed to the problem
  • Use of incompatible parts or accessories
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic deterioration that does not affect normal function
  • Loss, theft or deliberate damage

Examples of normal wear and tear include:

  • Scratches, marks and cosmetic fading caused by regular use
  • Wear to straps, hook-and-loop fasteners, buckles and zips
  • Wear to grips, padding, fabric and printed finishes
  • Gradual reduction in rechargeable battery capacity
  • Deterioration of consumable or replaceable parts through regular use

A product will not automatically be excluded merely because it has been used. The exclusion applies where the problem results from normal deterioration rather than a manufacturing or material defect.

3. Warranty Terms for Complete Bicycles

The following terms apply to complete bicycles purchased directly from the official ROCKBROS UK website.

A. Bicycle Frames – 5 Years

ROCKBROS provides a five-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects affecting the bicycle frame.

The five-year frame warranty does not apply to full-suspension or soft-tail frames. For these frame types, the warranty period stated on the relevant product page or purchase documentation will apply.

The frame warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Crashes, impacts or accidents
  • Overloading
  • Corrosion caused by unsuitable storage or inadequate maintenance
  • Unauthorised structural modifications
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Use outside the bicycle’s intended riding category
  • Normal cosmetic deterioration

B. Paintwork, Decals and Frame Graphics – 1 Year

Paintwork, decals and decorative frame finishes are covered for one year from the original date of purchase against manufacturing defects.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal fading caused by age, sunlight or weather exposure
  • Scratches, chips or scuffs caused by use
  • Damage caused by stones, road debris or transport
  • Corrosion caused by improper storage or maintenance
  • Damage caused by cleaning products or chemicals
  • Cosmetic damage that occurred after delivery

C. Groupsets, Suspension Forks and Rear Shocks

Groupsets, suspension forks and rear shock absorbers are covered according to the applicable warranty terms provided by their respective component manufacturers.

Where appropriate, ROCKBROS will assist the original purchaser with the assessment and warranty claim process.

Customers should contact ROCKBROS before contacting a component manufacturer or arranging third-party repairs.

D. General Bicycle Components – 1 Year

ROCKBROS provides a one-year free repair service for eligible manufacturing or material defects affecting the following original components supplied with the bicycle:

  • Rigid forks
  • Handlebars
  • Stems
  • Saddles
  • Seat posts
  • Cranksets
  • Cassettes
  • Pedals
  • Bottom brackets
  • Brake levers
  • Brake callipers
  • Rims
  • Hubs
  • Rim tapes
  • Kickstands
  • Racks
  • Mudguards

The component must have been supplied as part of the original complete bicycle.

Where repair is not reasonably possible, ROCKBROS may offer a replacement component or another appropriate solution following assessment.

E. Wear-and-Tear Parts

The following items are considered consumable or wear-and-tear components and are not covered for deterioration resulting from normal use:

  • Tyres
  • Inner tubes
  • Chains
  • Spokes and spoke nipples
  • Rim brake pads
  • Disc brake pads
  • Brake shoes
  • Brake discs
  • Handlebar grips
  • Handlebar tape
  • Bells
  • Reflectors
  • Luggage straps
  • Cables and similar consumable components

These parts may still be assessed where the reported problem appears to have been caused by a manufacturing or material defect rather than normal wear.

4. Bicycle Modifications and Replacement Components

Customers should not structurally modify the bicycle or install incompatible components.

Warranty coverage may be refused to the extent that the reported damage or failure was caused or contributed to by:

  • An unauthorised structural modification
  • Installation of an incompatible component
  • Incorrect assembly or disassembly
  • Improper repair work
  • Incorrect adjustment of safety-critical components
  • Modification of the frame, fork, braking system or steering system

Replacing a compatible consumable item or carrying out routine maintenance does not automatically invalidate the entire bicycle warranty.

However, ROCKBROS is not responsible under this commercial warranty for damage caused by incorrect installation, incompatible parts or unauthorised modifications.

Repairs to safety-critical components should be performed by a suitably qualified bicycle technician.

5. Intended Use of the Bicycle

The bicycle must be used only for its intended purpose and within the limits stated on the relevant product page, bicycle label and supplied instructions.

Damage caused by use outside the intended riding category is not covered.

Examples include:

  • Using a road bicycle for mountain biking or demanding off-road riding
  • Using a folding bicycle for racing, jumps or extreme riding
  • Performing jumps or stunts on a bicycle not designed for that purpose
  • Carrying passengers where the bicycle is not designed for passenger transport
  • Exceeding the stated rider, luggage or total weight limit
  • Overloading the bicycle or frame
  • Using a children’s bicycle for riders outside the recommended size or weight range
  • Using the bicycle for purposes that are clearly outside its designed category

The examples above are not exhaustive. Warranty eligibility will depend on the cause of the reported problem and the bicycle’s stated intended use.

6. Bicycle Inspection, Care and Maintenance

The bicycle owner is responsible for carrying out reasonable inspection, servicing and maintenance.

Before riding, customers should regularly check safety-critical parts, including:

  • Brakes
  • Wheels and tyres
  • Handlebars and stem
  • Saddle and seat post
  • Pedals and crankset
  • Chain and drivetrain
  • Frame and fork
  • All bolts and fasteners

Damage or malfunction caused by neglect, insufficient maintenance or unsuitable storage is not covered by the commercial warranty.

  • Continued use of excessively worn brake pads, chains or tyres
  • Riding with loose, damaged or incorrectly adjusted components
  • Damage caused by failing to arrange necessary servicing
  • Water or weather damage caused by unsuitable storage
  • Continued use after a fault or safety concern becomes apparent

Maintenance records, servicing invoices or photographs may be requested where they are relevant to determining the cause of a bicycle fault.

7. Safety-Critical Problems

Stop using the bicycle immediately if you notice a crack, deformation, unusual movement, braking failure or any other issue that could affect safe operation.

Do not continue riding a bicycle with a potentially damaged:

  • Frame
  • Fork
  • Handlebar or stem
  • Wheel or hub
  • Brake system
  • Crankset or pedal
  • Steering component

Contact ROCKBROS before arranging repairs or dismantling the affected area.

Continuing to ride after becoming aware of a safety-critical issue may worsen the damage and could affect the assessment of the warranty claim.

After receiving the required information, ROCKBROS may carry out an initial remote assessment.
